Did you "SAY" Shrug??
By Selma Yalazi
So, I am in love with everything the website
Style Diary and in particular I love her
say shrug. So, of course, when I saw it, I was like I CAN MAKE THAT. I
gathered my supplies and embarked on recreating my version of this shrug.
This project took about 30 minutes to complete.

Instructions
Step One: First you need to get an old sweater that you will no longer
wear, because you are cutting this baby up. Make sure that you have all your
supplies together so you are not running around the house trying to complete
this project!

Step Two:
If I could redo this project, I would have cut the arms in more of an angle
as the diagram below shows. But I cut it to short. I didn't realize when I
first did it that it looked better hemmed outwards! Back to the step, in
this step cut the arms as shown and the bottom of the sweater as well as the
center slit where the shrug will open.

Step Three:
In this step, you will carefully roll the sweater edges out and sew the
edges with a string the color of your sweater. This step is really easy just
don't poke your self with the needle, OUCH. You will have to go around all
the edges probably three or four times to make sure they are secure.

Step Four:
This step is the best. From a quality and durable fabric, one that you
would make pants from, maybe even denim, cut your shape. You can do a heart,
star, or any random shape. After you have cut it, arrange how you want it to
look on the back of the sweater. Now using embroidery floss, or a dense
string, sew the shape on.
