Are you in a rut and want to get back on track, today…now…like this instant? Then let’s talk… Whether you are trying to manage overwhelm or you are stuck in a rut, there are simple things you can do to help you feel better and take control. The first step to getting a quick start to living the life you want is by realizing it is time to make some changes. I find the best way to make positive changes is to first start with the things that nag us the most in our immediate environment.
It is so important to pinpoint what is bothering us and make changes to improve it. I have come up with a checklist that will help you get back on track putting certain things in order. This checklist is in no way exhaustive but it is a good step in the right direction. You will notice as you start checking items off of the list that you will feel a weight lifted from your shoulders and you will free up blocked energy that will help you to move forward in your transformation of living your best luxurious life.
Cleaning & Organizing
It is insane how much better you will feel the minute you put order into your environment. Before you go all out and start doing a deep clean of your home and car that results in more overwhelm. Start off by putting things back into their place. Go around your environment put out of place items in a basket then spend sometime finding a home for what the item and putting it way. Once you have everything back in its place you can start your cleaning. I always start in the kitchen and shine my sink. If you haven’t heard of the Fly Lady Method – you are in for a wonderful treat. The fly lady method helps you to control the chaos in your environment and something I recommend you check out after getting through the checklist. The checklist is there to give you a little calm in chaos. For me I have three places that need to be spic and span in order for me to feel like I am back on track is the kitchen, bathroom and my closet. When these three are in perfect order, I feel like I can conquer the world. Everyone will have a different order of cleaning that is important to them. Just do what works for you – the point is cleaning out and organizing our environment to release blocked energy.
Take a Minute For Yourself
In the next few days just take a moment to really intentionally brush your teeth, wash your face and brush your hair. Don’t just go through the motions but experience each self-care moment by engaging your sense of smell and touch. Go ahead and read the basics of grooming to really understand what I am getting at. Spritz on your favorite perfume and just indulge in the beauty around you. Taking care of the way you look and feel will make a big difference in helping you to get back on track. Evaluate How You Feel
The checklist spends most of the time with hands-on actions that will get your environment and self in somewhat working order. This jump start is just a jump start. There is so much work to be done to transform your life into what you want it to be and help you to get back on track. I have to put a disclaimer here – you will never arrive to your destination. This… inventing, reinventing, shifting priorities, values… is just part of life. It is a journey. Our goal should be to make the journey the best journey we could have taken. Like planning anything in life – we need to remain flexible and open to bumps in the road… but like all things, if we don’t chart a destination we will not know where we are going or when we look back on our life, if we have arrived.
